Where you start
Paradise car park (or reverse from Westcott)
One-way link — plan road return or reverse.
How to get there
- Park at Paradise or Westcott according to direction.
- Westcott is tent camping with basic facilities — not a full Dandabah-style hub.
How to do it (step by step)
- Follow signed track Paradise → Westcott (or reverse).
- Road return if you only want one-way track walking.
What to expect
A mid-length Grade 3 one-way link connecting Paradise rainforest to Westcott. Quiet compared with Dandabah on busy weekends.
How the day works
Use as a connector in a multi-track day, not as the only plan if you need toilets, showers and bins every hour.
Hazards
Fewer rescue “easy outs” than the Dandabah picnic lawn. Carry the kit you would on Barker Creek.
Turning around
Reverse or use the road return. Tell someone your plan before you leave reception.
Map (orientation)

Extra tips
- Bins are not at Westcott like Dandabah — pack rubbish out.
Often paired with Barker Creek— only if energy and weather allow.

Barker Creek
10 km circuit (QPWS journey page; re-checked 2026-08-20) · moderate
Longer signature rainforest circuit (about 10 km, 3–4 hours, Grade 3) linking Dandabah / Paradise country: Paradise, Little and Tim Shea Falls, optional 750 m detour to Big Falls lookout (tallest waterfall, best after rain), and a grassy bald above Big Falls for lunch. Best full-day immersion.
